Roasted sardines with tangerines and shallots

Ingredients
  

  • 4 whole sardines gutted and scaled
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tangerines halved
  • 1 shallot sliced

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven at 425℉. Scatter sliced shallots in an oven-proof pan, then place sardines on top. Drizzle with olive oil and season to taste with salt and pepper. Squeeze halved tangerines over sardines, then place in the pan as well.
  • Place in the oven and roast until sardines begin to brown (about 15 minutes). Serve immediately.
