A one-day fun and hands-on introduction to survival techniques useful to anyone who ventures into the wilderness of the northern boreal forest!
Learn how to avoid emergencies and what to do, if things went pear-shaped on your wilderness trip!
We will start the day by looking at some real-life wilderness emergencies and discuss survival strategies and decision making processes. Then it is time to get your hands dirty by learning about basic survival shelter concepts, how to reliably start a warming fire, how to treat water for safe drinking and signal for help in an emergency.
This day will leave you with a foundation of basic survival skills that can help you to have a safer and more enjoyable time in the woods.
