98 Hotel
The ’98 Hotel is an historic hotel in the heart of beautiful downtown Whitehorse, Yukon. We have the second oldest saloon license west of Winnipeg! The name refers to the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898, which is the largest gold rush in the history of the world.
The grand opening of the ‘98 Ballroom was in October 1943. At the end of WWII, the ’98 Ballroom was converted to a hotel and called The ’98 Hotel. In June 1951, a cocktail lounge was opened on the premises. The Hotel was fully refurbished in 2019.
