This is the second year of classes for our little club and we are trying to steadily grow the sport of fencing in Whitehorse. Fencing is an Olympic sport with participation around the globe. Fencing is unique as it is a sport that challenges both your body and your mind.
Our classes focus on teaching the fundamentals of fencing in a safe and positive space. Our goal is to provide students with all the skills to fence bouts safely and have fun. Fencing is a great sport for all ages.
Our classes are taught by certified and trained fencing coaches (Scott Dudiak and James McCullough) who have over 40 years of combined experience in the sport. Scott was a member of the Canadian National Mens foil team and was ranked in the top 100 fencers in the world. James McCullough was ranked in the highest category of fencers in Canada (A rank) and has competed at international World Cup Events.
