The Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay registration is now open

The Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay (KCIBR) registration for the 2026 race is now officially open.

This iconic event often sees up to 1,200 cyclists take on the breathtaking 238-kilometres route from Haines Junction (Yukon) to Haines (Alaska), through some of the most spectacular scenery in North America.

KCIBR continues to bring together riders of all ages and abilities, to celebrate endurance, teamwork and community spirit. From competitive teams chasing podium finishes, to groups riding for the experience and camaraderie, the relay offers something for everyone.

The event remains committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants. The Open category will once again be available as part of the registration options, reflecting ongoing support for gender diversity within the cycling community. E-bikes will also be permitted in both the eight-person and four-person non-competitive categories, allowing more riders to experience this unforgettable journey in a way that best suits them.

“KCIBR is more than just a race … It’s a celebration of connection, challenge and the incredible landscape we’re fortunate to ride through,” said Monika Kozlerová, race co-ordinator. “We look forward to welcoming returning teams and first-time riders to the start line this June.”

Participants are encouraged to register before the end of April, to make it under the registration deadline, as spots for this bucket-list event fill quickly each year, Kozlerova says.
