May 1st is International Worker’s Day, also known as May Day. This day is dedicated to celebrating the contributions of workers and labourers around the world. To mark this day, Queer Yukon has partnered with Yukon Employees’ Union to recognize the special contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ workers!

On May 1st we will be hosting a community conversation in Dawson City from 3-7pm at Trʼondëk Hwëchʼin Hall, focused on the specific opportunities and challenges of being visibly queer and trans in the workplace. This conversation will be followed by a “high vis” dance party from 7-9pm, where folks are encouraged to wear your work clothes and dance with your comrades!
