At Eight Days Martial Arts we are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for all Yukoners. Everyone is welcome at our professional training facility, located at 120 Industrial Road in Whitehorse. We strive to foster a family feeling, with safe and fun group classes and private lessons available for kids, teens, and adults. BOBBY WOODMAN

OWNER, HEAD INSTRUCTOR

Coach Bobby was introduced to Jiu Jitsu while watching the early years of the UFC. He started training Can-Ryu Jiu Jitsu, and hasn’t stopped learning since. A born and raised Yukoner, Bobby has spent years training in Muay Thai, MMA, and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, receiving his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt in 2021. Bobby is an extremely passionate practitioner and teacher of martial arts. You can find him on the mats “eight days a week.”

GREG SANDERSON

MUAY THAI KICKBOXING, BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Coach Greg has been training and coaching Muay Thai for the last 10 years and has competed at the national level. He brings passion, intensity, and a positive attitude into teaching each class. Greg is constantly learning new techniques and concepts through his travels, training with high level athletes. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt, Greg teaches group classes and private sessions.

    This class is very similar to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, only the students typically practice in shorts and a rash guard t-shirt, rather than a Gi. There is also typically a little more wrestling and leg locks due to the rules in tournaments being less restrictive.
