On Sunday, Feb. 10, a few Bohemian waxwings discovered there were still edible berries in the honeysuckle and cotoneaster bushes in our Riverdale yard.Early the next morning, a small flock of waxwings showed up and settled high in our fir tree, soaking up the sun and eating snow. They soon started to visit all the berry bushes below. Some were quite acrobatic, even hanging upside down to reach a berry. It was all quite magical. Such beautiful birds!
