Presented by the Ukrainian Canadian Association of Yukon, internationally-renowned Ukrainian jazz musician Taras Luka will perform two concerts in Whitehorse on Friday, 3 May, accompanied by Vancouver-based pianist Dean Thiessen and local musicians Ragn Royle and drummer Lonnie Powell. At 7:00 PM, the first concert will be for seated, listening audiences and the second, at 9:00 PM, for dancing audiences (who are also welcome to sit, but the music will get you up on the dance floor!). At 6:30 PM, UCAY President Jeff Sloychuk will briefly speak about his recent delivery of medicines and medical supplies to Ukraine. Free Borsht Bar! Cash bar available for drinks; silent and live auction events throughout the evening.
