
Not only are banana peels an excellent accessory to decorating, but they also serve a useful purpose in the garden.
This spring season, experiment by decorating with banana peels in your home. In their natural shades of vibrant lime, to sunny yellow, to spotted black, bananas offer a multitude of design possibilities.
Simply place banana peels in their natural peeled form around your home. Their dramatic colour, combined with their ailing aromatic senses, make them an essential design element in any décor.
You can hang them on the wall or display them in urns at your front entrance. Try creating a wreath of them for your front door. Or, better yet, gather them into bouquets and give them to your friends on special occasions.
Step inside your front door and try taking a step onto a banana peel. You are sure to spend the rest of the day admiring the shades of your room’s ceiling while harvesting a bruise that is complementary in colour to the final stages of la bannane.
We all know that egg shells and coffee grinds are good for the garden, but why not add a few banana peels to the compost?
Lots of gardeners feel that banana peels are great for rose bushes. Simply chop them up and place them under the mulched cover of the rose bushes.
And, if you have time, take this a step further: puree blackened bananas with water and add a few eggshells to the mix.
Bananas are naturally high in phosphorus and are an especially good combination for roses. They also detract the aphid armies.
