Living With Wildlife: Jozien Keijzer

These photos were taken on Dec. 8 around 1 p.m. near the Takhini campground. This otter and his pals were in the Kusawa River where the river was trying to freeze up and the rim of the ice meets the open water. The otters were probably fishing, but were very playful and were clearly interested in me. The first one I spotted swam under the freshly jumbled up ice, to come up right beside me in a small opening in the ice where I was sitting on the shore.  Splash, splash, ork, ork.

I took this photo with a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ200 using a zoom lens.
