Driving home from Swan Haven on April 6, I saw a small herd of caribou on the side of the Alaska Highway, about 1 km south of the Carcross cut-off. I was so excited. It was my first caribou sighting and they were only a couple of kms from our house! They are part of the Southern Lakes caribou herd and are seldom seen that far North.
